So I had my 95 miata in storage for the entire winter, and I just got it out today (pretty f-in awesome), but I just noticed that when I accelerate to 40mph or above, I get something that sounds like its rattling inside my engine bay. I looked in it, and I tried pushing stuff around to see if it makes a rattling noise, but I just can't locate it. Do you guys have any ideas about it? I'd really appreciate the input.
Erik had a couple of issues with rattling on his Miata. One was his heat shield lost a bolt, so it rattled. The other with his Throttle Positioning Sensor, the bolt had worked its self loose and was rattling. Which I believe is a big bolt under the Sensor. Is it a Metallic rattle?
Well, it does sound metallic, but it went away. I believe it was making noise due to the cold because it didn't make it during the daytime when its warmer out and I have yet to hear the noise again.
Winter noises can be common My suspension make way too much noise when cold. But after 45 mins of driving to work. The noises all go away with the car warming up. Hope the noises stay away from you and your ride!
