Had some lifter tick in my Saturn, also had acquired some super rare cams cheap for the car from a friend.. decided to put them in today since I had to pull the cams to replace the lifters.. I started off with a high tech lifter cleaning system Then removed the old cams to find some minor wear Then I finally opened the box of cams that I've had sitting on my shelf, I forgot that he had mentioned they were somewhat rough I decided to install them anyways... but the car decided to tell me it didn't want them by snapping a bolt off about 4mm deep... I actually managed to remove the bolt by grooving it with a nail and using a small flathead and screwing it out.. I made a few calls to see where I could drop the cams off tomorrow for polishing and got a hold of a guy down the road from me that knows a friend that told me to bring them by tonight and he'd take care of them.. Then I had to find a bolt to replace the one I broke.. so I remembered I probably had some in my storage unit Jackpot Cams came out really nice too So with bolts and cams in hand I decided to just put it back together since it was only like 9 High tech shop light Now if only the parts would show up for my BMW... I was tired so I just pulled a little bit of fuel (was still running rich AFRs) and took it for a spin, needs tuning time, but I was sore still from running cable through a ceiling Thursday and working on the car yesterday to address some suspension stuff and get the axle swapped and oil pressure sending unit installed.
Not really anymore, that's why I wanted to get my hands on this set.. there was a very limited run made for the last version of the head before they dropped the S series.
glad you got all the pics for your build thread. That is a ton of work, glad you got it straightened out.
