Get there early is you want t be part of the show. They have been closing the gates earlier and earlier as they fill up sections.

I've heard there is going to be drifting at Elko afterwards... anyone know anything about that?

We had wanted to go to Elko but the Miata needed work done to it for next work week. So we went home after Lions Tap.

I posted some pictures for C&C on my facebook but will get them up here also Great to see most of you (or your cars) there

 

I think cars and coffee is becoming one of those events I won't mind if I miss. The people in charge only want the supercar Ferraris and stuff there, and show no love for the imports. I'm sorry, but that's just stupid. They told my buddy with a clean RX8 there was no room (when there was) yet they let 98347053 Porsches that look identical in. Maybe it's just me, but I don't care about cars like that. They're just cars, just machines. The imports have soul. They are all unique, all a reflection of their owners.

I should clarify, when I say "import" it's just because I lack a better term for the cars I'm talking about. I hate the word "tuner" lol. I say "import" to lump together all the real cars. The Subarus, Mazdas, VWs, muscle cars... even the neons.

Uhg, let's hope the folks in charge shape up before the whole event is a collection of $100K+ cars. I think they're cool too, but I'd rather look at something with a personality.

Sorry if that ^^^^ seems to angry. I'm just frustrated with it is all. It's a great event, and I love going, but it needs work.

 

it all depends on when you get there. they allot space for each country/car/model and if that fills up your basically SOL, that being said i've only not been let in twice and thats because i showed up around 830.

 

They have, unfortunately, been pushing out the space they have reserved for more "normal" cars. They probably are looking to get more of that fancy crowd. But of course the meets tend to have the same cars time and time again.

Once in awhile we will see things there that are new and different. But mainly it is fun to see all our friends
