Talked to Bubba (one of the owners of carbone's) and he apologized for last week. The fund raiser they had going pulled in many more people then they ever saw coming. So far the next 6 weeks we should be good to go (depending on weather). But I'm getting the owners cell number to just ask ahead of time each week

 

Who's abandoning their winter tires? With the lows at night, summers should still be in heated storage, never mind the melting and the ice after dark. If you want to wreck your car sure, by all means, but anyone with common sense keeps them on until the melt is over.

But to answer your question, I believe the rule of thumb is that until it's above 50 after dusk, we won't be switching to summer mode.

 

BTW speaking of summer meets. I talk to Brent (manager at RB Mitsu), I told him the concerns about the legal issues and how the meet would need to be on property the dealership legally owns. He said he would look in to it, but I haven't heard back from him. That was about a week ago.

 

I have been trying to find the temps from past years for Sonic
April 13th 2011 - 60s (can't find the exact temp)
March 14th 2012 - 73 (record high)

I think it is safe to say, if we are getting between 50-60. People will be wanting to go to Sonic We will, of course, post up for sure news when we know (after hounding the weather channel)

Trogdor, is that the dealership you work at? I'm wonder what all events they'd maybe let us do. I know other groups have detail days, or test drive days, etc.

 

No, that's not the dealership I work at. I work at White Bear Mitsu off of 61. I just happen to know/see their manager from time to time.

Like we talked about this evening, I'd be happy to try and set something up at the dealership if you have ideas. But a test drive day may fall pretty short since we have basically

And I'm saying that despite having a meeting that'll run until 5:30 making Sonic an infinitely more convenient option for me. We've been patient enough thus far, we can be patient enough until the weather meets the criteria that we've previously set, that we'd be throwing out the window by going back tomorrow.

Sounds like we'll be at Sonic for a bit, then will be heading to Carbones. Probably around 6pm. Depends on how talks with the businesses go. People are welcome to join at either place

 

This weeks meet MNGG will be joining ZeroGravity Empire at their Wed Meet.

Why? The car/Bike community lost a friend/brother last night, Tyron Somaiah. He will be greatly missed and the ZGE guys are planning to turn their normal Wed meet into Remembrance of Tyron, they will be having a donation box and stuff to sell/ask for donations to raise money for the family.

The details are not solid yet. They are meeting with a couple of resturants today to see how to accomodate 150-200 people. They should know more later today and I'll post up the info once I see it.

So NO Carbones or Sonic this week (of course you can still go there, but MNGG will be with the friends of Tyron)

 

I believe that they are going to Doghouse Bar and Grille in Maplewood from 6-9 on Weds.
