Testing fuel pump?

    I'm looking for some tips on how to go about testing a fuel pump or maybe trouble shoot. I tried to start the car yesterday and it turned over but would not start. took the fuel line off and turned it over and no fuel came out.

    Check fuses, most cars have separate fuses for the pump these days, also could be the relay, those go bad on occasion too.

    That's where I'd start.

    Jump/bypass relay, test for fuel pressure

    That should tell you whether or not its the relay/pump

    yes it is a aftermarket pump. i did check the fuse and that was good
