Was looking around found this forum the other night. I am a new owner of a 87 FC and am extremely happy with it! Just got some new shoes on her, it has been lowered with tein springs and kyb struts. Full apexi exhaust as well. That's about it for now but I am looking on pulling the a/c and cleaning up the engine bay a bit soon. Here are a few pics and it's nice to meet you all.

I saw the car in person today and holy crap is it clean, the phone photos do it ZERO justice.

What plans do you have for the car at this time?

 

Glad to be here not to much for the time being. I just bought a house and the car inthe same months so just a little at a time for mods and upgrades.

I am for sure pulling the a/c out and she is getting a full fluid change,plugs,wires the usual. Oh and it needs shifter bushings bad! So that will be next then fully polyurethane bushings, and sway bar kits.

Eventually I'd like to add a few gauges, CD player, hid kit, and possibly do a s5 swap.

i had an FC back in the day the busing is a BREZE to install, and lol my first 5sp experience was in my FC with the fucked shifter, it was ROUGH

 

Lol yeah its a bit interesting the new bushings will be here Wednesday. Now I just need to do some research to add some more power!

 

I'd offer you my old turbo but I'm told it's too small for rotaries.

I have done a lot of the things you are planning on doing to your FC and if you ever get stuck or need a hand let me know

Btw miatas have the the same shifter as an FC and a miata short shifters can be had for a bit cheaper that just a shifter bushing kit. Just a thought.

Got the shift bushings done and new plugs and wires today. Wow what a difference! It runs so much smoother and shifts way ...way better. I freakin love this FC!

 

Glad to hear! And can't wait to see it. I see people pulling for Sonic this week. I must double check weather but we are getting near that time I think
