Nice! How did the rest of the pics of my car turn out, Spaz?

 

Just got off the phone with the Bloomington Police Coordinator (??) and he gave me some info on the Building behind us and what we 'can' and 'can not' do.

Basically the short story is some of the companies to the South of Sonic has complained to the police that the meets takes away their parking spots without giving them any business in return. And I can see this as being true in most cases but the Alcohol store.

They have also had customers complain about the RC cars because they are hindering the flow of traffic in that lot.

Since it is Private Property the building owner did the correct first step by telling us we can't park there. This is in his right since he owns the property. Next would be for him to give us a formal written statement telling us we are trespassing. After that he can legally have us towed, call the police, etc.

Nobody wants it to get to Step #2. I have also emailed the building owner and he recognizes that we are making efforts to solve the issue. I'm hoping that we can get to a point of maybe using the next row of parking south of Sonic. BUT until i get to that agreement. We have to stay out of the South buildings parking lot.

Where can we park?
At this time we have verbally been given premission to park at Sonic, Wendys, and the spots that line the street that is south of them.
Savers we have been using as over flow and so far don't use a ton of the space.

The Police guy I talked to would like to get down to visit a Wednesday in the next 3 weeks. If you happen to spot him looking for me, please let me know. He has my cell # and Erik's cell #. His name is Mark Stuluck.

Ask any questions you have, main point I'll put out right now is we have no plans to move away from Sonic. I would rather fix the problems then run away from them (and probably get them again somewhere else)

 

I think it is mainly an issue since we USE to park in the south lot and we took up most of those spaces. Now with out them, people don't know where to park since so many cars come.

Main thing is if anyone sees an obvious car meet participant parking in that south lot, please kindly ask them to move and explain that it is private property. It is all we can do.

Either way, I will see people there!

We've been doing a good job policing the south lot. Please keep up the good work. I don't care who you are, lets keep a good impression on that building owner and maybe i can convince him to let us use part of that lot

For a rainy meet, it was extremely entertaining Not only that but we know the more hard core enthusiast still come out, so the conversations are always the best
