newb intro

Whats up guys, new here, but been on the forums for years (prolly before most of you guys even started driving)

My bud JohnnyT told me about this site, figured i'd check it out.

Attended the wed night meet, very cool! lots of variety and very lil screwin around. Enjoy the atmosphere so, great job guys!

As for my rides, most people already know them. Sig shows them. Will cya guys at the meet!

thanks for saving the wheels Jon! Thats my wifes car, and anymore issues with that car from carousel, my wife will seriously blow up. We've had such bad luck there....

jeez, where to start... that last week it was there,
1: the driver window got repalced twice, first time due to window regulator falling off track and scratching the glass. second time b/c the glass shattered just sitting in the lot. Literally exploded 5 min before i came to pick it up.

2: 35K maintenance update

3: LED tail lamp assm failed

4: A/c did not work, pressure switch had failed.

SO one week in the shop then.
Now today, i need to give it back, bc the driver side glass is not tight to seal, so it whistles when at speed. Also, tail lamp failure again, and lastly, now the navi disk is failing to read...

This car is getting traded in very soon. Warranty just expired on 4/28, im done f'n around with it. Not to mention, I don't think the audi tech who works on it, is the brightest bulb. This is the third time i have had to come back to repairs. Wife is getting frustrated not having her car for 1-2 weeks each month...

sorry for the rant, as you can tell, i am done with that thing... lol

 

My opinions of Audi match up with yours surely lol. Sorry youve been having so many issues though. What are you thinking of trading it in for?

 

Well, she is in the shop again... dropped off last night. They call me today and tell me:
1: sorry about the window, yes, it was off alignment again, but all good now
2: navi disk had, what looks like pizza sauce on it, but its all clean now and 100% operational
3: brake light was out b/c water was filled in it. we replaced under warranty ($350), so you're good to go.

Mind you, i never had tail light issues or navi issues until last week when i gave it in... WTF??? LOL So they are over night'ing the brake light housing in, i should have it back tomorrow.

As for the next ride, the wife really wants an S6 or S8, im freaking done with Audi tho. She also wants a Range Rover or maybe even RR Sport. We thought about another Maserati, but i refuse to own one of those again due to clutch service intervals. So i think the Rover might be our next step. Nothing else is really interesting to us...

 

We've got a couple nice AMG Mercs over here lol. Id call ahead and have them re-wash your car. It was rained on and near a tree.

P.s. It was requested if you come to the meet tonight, you bring the turbo busa. Freind of a freind wants to see it

you have some AMG's are the porsche side? hmm... i'll have to look...
My audi was already dirty when i gave to them, haha... thats how good the buff job is on it. But they did a nice clean up on it again when i picked it up last night. Appreciate you looking out for me!

I would love to ride the busa in, however, its been in pieces since Feb. Charge pipe was hitting manifold, melted a hole the size of my thumb. So it was still running 9psi and making 310rwhp at that point. The oil feed lines into turbo have checkballs that failed, thus filling turbo with oil. so the seals blew on it. Waiting on the turbo to be sent back to me. had a couple other minor issues too which are all cleaned up now. So, just waiting on turbo to get back and i should be ready to roll again.

I have two people who are interested in buying it so i dunno if i will ever ride it again, but we'll see. if i have it, i'll def try and bring it out.
